Because we are from Sham... and we know Sham

Welcome to Hala Cham — your gateway to new Syria

Hala Cham was born in the heart of Damascus in 2026, at the moment when the world began to rediscover Syria. We are a licensed Syrian tourism and travel agency, designing trips and managing hotels, taking care of every little detail — from visa processing at the borders to your first cup of coffee in your hotel in old Damascus.

We believe that traveling to Syria today is not just a tourist visit, but a return. A return of the expatriate to their grandfather's house, a return of travelers to the city they have inhabited for over eleven thousand years, and a return of the country as a whole to the world map. Our mission is to make this return easy, safe, and beautiful as it deserves.

Behind our journey

We are not an old company burdened by age-old contracts. We were born with new Syria — and this is the story of our first fame.

January 2026 · The Idea

One year after liberation, the Ministry of Tourism announced the arrival of 3.56 million visitors in 2025, with an 18% growth, and an 80% jump in the number of Arab and foreign tourists. In that month, we saw what everyone saw: an airport regaining its breath, and expatriates searching for hotel bookings but finding none available. From here, the idea began.

February 2026 · Establishment and Licensing

Hala Cham was officially established and obtained a tourism activity license, with an office in Damascus and a founding team of six individuals brought together by their experience in hospitality and travel inside and outside Syria.

March 2026 · Hotel Network

With the return of air traffic to Damascus International Airport and the resumption of several Arab and European carriers, we signed our first agreements with hotels and resorts in Damascus, Aleppo, Lattakia, and Tartus — and we launched our first available packages.

April 2026 · First Group

We welcomed our first group of foreign tourists on a tour of 'Classic Syria': Old Damascus — Maaloula — Homs and the Citadel of Aleppo — Hama — Aleppo — the coast. Fourteen days restored our confidence that this country is ready to welcome the world.

Hala Cham 2026 · Expatriates Section

We have launched a dedicated section for Syrians in the diaspora: arranging visas and entry documents, airport or border pickups, family accommodation, and internal transportation — because the return journey requires different arrangements than that of tourists.

August 2026 · Digital Platform

We have launched halacham.com: Book hotels, packages, and transportation online, with clear prices and direct Arabic support. Meanwhile, the first half of 2026 recorded 3.52 million visitors with growth exceeding 111%, as we build the tools that make reaching Syria easier with a click.

The tour was well-organized, and we enjoyed every bit of it. However, I wish we had more free time to explore on our own. Overall, a great experience!

Frequently Asked Questions

Everything you need to know before you pack your bags.

Hotel and apartment bookings within Syria, flight tickets, complete travel packages, internal transportation, and airport and border pickups, tourist guide services, and assistance with visa procedures and entry documents.

Yes, and this is what we love most. Let us know the number of days, budget, and your interests — heritage, nature, food, or family visits — and we will get back to you with a detailed program and cost within 24 hours.

Absolutely. You can book a hotel only, or a car with a driver only, or a complete package. There is no minimum limit required.

Yes. Syria currently grants a visa on arrival for a large number of nationalities at the main airports and land crossings, while other nationalities require prior approval through a licensed travel agency — and we can handle that. Rules may change, so please contact us before purchasing a non-refundable ticket.

Spring (March–May) and autumn (September–November) are the best for full tours. Summer is the season for mountains and beaches: Bloudan, Zabadani, Salqin, Kessab, and Lattakia and Tartus. Winter is suitable for Damascus, Aleppo, and short cultural programs.

Cash payments in US dollars are accepted within Syria, along with cashless payment methods available locally. We recommend carrying small to medium denominations of cash, as international cards are limited in use at some establishments.
